Website privacy notice

Effective November 3, 2026

The short version: sonavivo.com itself sets no cookies and shows no ads. We count visits with cookie-free analytics that never store your IP address. If you join the launch list, we keep what you tell us so we can email you at launch, invite you to test early if you ask, and learn what to build. We never sell or share it.

This notice covers the sonavivo.com website, which is run by Sonavivo LLC (Arizona, USA). The Sonavivo app will have its own privacy policy, published before launch.

What you give us when you join the launch list

Your name, email address, and (if you choose) phone number.
Whether you're a student, parent, teacher, adult musician, or partner organization. Students tell us an age range (13–17 or 18+).
Any optional answers you give: instruments, level, studio size, number and ages of children, which devices you use, whether you'd like to join a testing round, how you heard about us, and anything you write in the open question.

What we collect automatically

When a page loads, our own analytics (not Google Analytics or any ad network) records:

The page you viewed, the site that referred you, and any campaign tags in the link (such as utm_source).
Approximate location — country, state or region, and city — estimated from your IP address by our hosting provider. We do not store your IP address.
Device type, operating system, browser, screen size, language, time zone, and light/dark mode preference.
How long the page was open, how far you scrolled, which sections you saw, and which buttons you clicked.

To count unique visitors without cookies, we combine your IP address and browser details with a random value that changes every day, then keep only a one-way hash. The daily value is deleted, so visits can't be linked from one day to the next or traced back to you.

We also use Cloudflare Web Analytics, which measures how quickly pages load for visitors. It doesn't use cookies and doesn't track you across sites.

The intro video

Our intro video is hosted on YouTube. Until you press play, the page shows a still image served from sonavivo.com and nothing loads from YouTube. When you press play, the video loads from YouTube's privacy-enhanced mode (youtube-nocookie.com), and YouTube's own privacy policy applies to that playback.

How we use it

To email you when Sonavivo launches and send occasional launch updates.
To invite you to a testing round, if you said yes.
To text you on launch day, only if you checked the box to allow texts.
To understand who is interested and which devices to support, and to improve this website.

Who else handles it

We don't sell, rent, or share your information for advertising. It is stored and processed by our service providers only to run this site: Cloudflare (hosting, database, and email forwarding) and, when we email you, our email delivery provider. We may disclose information if required by law.

Children

The launch list is for adults and teens 13 and older. We don't knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 through this website — students under 13 are asked to have a parent or guardian sign up instead, and we don't collect phone numbers from students under 18. If you believe a child under 13 has given us personal information, email hello@sonavivo.com and we will delete it.

How long we keep it

Launch-list information: until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it, and in any case no longer than 12 months after the app launches unless you become a Sonavivo user.
Analytics records: up to 13 months.

Your choices

Every email we send includes a way to unsubscribe. Reply STOP to any text to stop texts.
Email hello@sonavivo.com to see, correct, or delete the information we hold about you. We'll respond within 30 days.
